The Old Paladin

- Biography -
A'grahl was raised in a small fishing village, his family working hard for everything they had. He was taught discipline, self reliance and hard working from a very young age, and that the only thing in life that is not a gift is death itself. His appreciation for all things living is what drives him.

A'grahl was poorly treated as a child, but was not one to take the insults as anything but the ignorance of those who did not understand him. His village was entirely human, but his parents chose to take him in despite his alien heritage. That was all the acceptance that he needed, and nothing else could test his resolve. Ironically enough, despite the crude demeanor of the other villagers, A'grahl would dream of becoming a protector of these people and keeping them safe from the creatures and bandits nearby.

This became a passion of his as A'grahl would train quite frequently to better himself. On multiple occasions he had bested the ferocious beasts of the sea nearby, and bandits quickly learned he was not one to be trifled with. Over time the village began to accept A'grahl, even more so after the death of his parents. They died at the age of 76 and 82, and A'grahl used the loss to fuel his drive to succeed.

A'grahl is a man of many virtues, one who willingly shares his wisdom with those who will lend an ear. His philosophy is one of perseverence, valiance and redemption and there is no man that A'grahl consideres beyond any of these virtues. He believes that everyone deserves nothing more than to be happy and free in their lives, and that is also why A'grahl set out from his village to become a protector upon hearing disturbing news from outside his village.

The world had been ravaged by forces of evil far to powerful for A'grahl to remotely consider interfering. He heard words of men literally glowing with power, bursting at the seams with energy and using it as a weapon. This power intrigued A'grahl, as it could be a great tool in impeding the evil of the world. Without a second thought he set forth on a journey to learn such power and become a true "Protector of Earth!"

Redemption would come for those who do injustice on this world, but only once that evil had been put in it's place. With the power A'grahl seeks he can become the sword of mercy, the bastion of hope for those unable to defend themselves. Over time, the use of Ki would absorb most of his focus. A'grahl would travel across distant lands to learn from the different Masters throughout the universe. With the skills he learns A'grahl will be able to defend those that seek aide and support his friends.
