Enzeru's father, Bardock, came from an unknown place. Her mother was an earthling scientist who lived near a forest. One morning Lin, Enzeru's mother, was walking in the woods and happened upon an injured and unconscious man. She took the man home and healed him. Once he was healed he left suddenly in the middle of the night but unknown to him, Lin was following him. When the man found his way to his ship Lin revealed her presence. He would not harm her since she had helped him, but he had to make sure she did not tell anyone his secret until he had repaired his ship and left. He told Lin his name. They were together for a year before the ship was fixed. During the course of that year they appeared to have fallen in love. Lin became pregnant and could no longer help the man on the ship, although she had been secretly sabotaging their progress. It wasn't long before the ship was fixed and the man left with barely a word. The baby would be born a week later.

Enzeru was born near the beginning of the year. She was healthy, full of energy, and had a tail. Lin immediately told the doctors to remove the tail from her daughter for good for fear of her being seen as a freak. As she grew Enzeru had to have her tail removed several times before she became an adult. Her mother died from lung disease and left her alone with everything she had gained in her career in science just before her last tail removal.

Enzeru went on to get a degree in archeology. She spent her free time in martial arts until she accidentally killed someone higher ranked than her when she became too angry to control her strength. After that she went on to become a successful archeologist. Occasionally she went to the world tournament to cheer on the powerful fighters, some of whom she had studied with. There she had met a boy who looked a lot like her and even had a tail but thought little of it until it was too late.

One summer Enzeru's big project of traversing the pyramids in hopes of learning some secret of humanity's past was destroyed overnight. The pyramids appeared to have crumbled mysteriously as if a giant hand had grabbed them and threw them hard to the ground. One of the archeologists she had been working with had seen something that looked like a green man near the pyramids that night. Since then she had been looking for a green man in hopes she might face the man who ruined the find of her career.
