Some say that the game never changes, only its pieces. The world of Namek has usually been one of simplicity. Many of its inhabitants are as peaceful as the plants that grow on its fields. Years of peace and harmony often last for the length of most other races life times. However, ever so often there happen to be incidents that change its landscape, and often, its people, forever.
The birth of Jaurenlo was a simple one. Like most Nameks, he had been the child of “The Guru” also known as father. As a child he showed some of curiosity of a warrior, often exploring out into the world around him instead of staying around the elders. They knew he had to be an innate fighter, and thought he may have been special.
They had planned to train him. However, like most things, the best laid plans end up failing. The day before he was supposed to start his work, joining the other warriors in the fields, the village he had called home for the first part of his life was raided and destroyed. The culprit, a group of space pirates who figured that a group of weak green men could stop them.
The only survivor was Jaurenlo, in a coma from a blast that destroyed the village as a whole. He wasn’t spotted; however, he caught the after effects of a shot from an errant ki rain technique. It is useless to wonder what side it came from, the result was the same. Jaurenlo ended up with a half a body, and in the dark.
He woke up in a cave. He had no idea where he was, or what happened in the fight. He had been seen by a healer, as his boy naturally re-spouted its pieces. An old namekian, one that was simply acknowledged as big brother, saved him. There were another mess of children around him, and they were much younger than he. He figured that he wouldn’t let what happen to him happen again. He began to train on his own, using that fire to push himself.
A few years have passed, and now those same children look at him as their hero. The elder who had saved him is now dead. He is the children’s only guardian. Lately his training has come under the eye of father. The future looks uncertain, however, that special feeling that people get about him has yet to change. Hopefully, it actually means something.
