- Background -
Trumpet, spawned from Lord Slug as Piccolo was of King Piccolo, grew up on Namek. He was trained to one day become a guardian for Guru, and thus developed the tactical style of fighting akin to most fighter-class Namekians. Knowing that secrets lead down a path of anger and hate, Guru told Trumpet of his heritage at a very young age. He was surprised when the young Namekian showed no outward surprise, even shrugging the revelation off as a small detail.
Taking the information about his one and only parent with little emotion, Trumpet concentrated his entire being on training to become a great guard for Guru, and to maybe even represent his race in Galactic Affairs one day.
As he grew his mentors learned that he put heavy emphasize on strategy versus brute strength, as opposed to several of his peers. When approached and asked why this was, he replied simply that he knew the Namekian race was not well known for their Powerlevel, and he didn’t see himself as any exception.
Surprised by such a high level of wisdom from one still so young, the Elders voted to have him trained specially by the most powerful and intelligent of warriors, including several paladin whom had been called onto the planet for that particular reason.
Trumpet grew to have great respect for his elders, and although he eventually surpassed many of his teachers in terms of strength, he never failed to refer to them as master, much to their joy and amusement.
Now soon to complete his training, Trumpet shows great pride in his race and his mentors every chance he gets, and although a “strong-silent type”, he is friendly unless rash behavior is called for.
